About Us
Founded in 2020, Core Engineering Solutions is dedicated to delivering high-quality engineering and responsive client service. We provide a full range of civil and environmental engineering services, guiding projects from early planning and budgeting through final construction. Led by Ryan Rittal, PE, and Greg Steckler, PE, our team is committed to delivering efficient, innovative, and cost-effective designs that meet each client’s unique needs.
Water
Design of water supply and treatment systems, along with water distribution infrastructure including pumping systems, storage facilities, pressure boosting and reduction stations, and service connections.
Wastewater Treatment
Design of wastewater treatment systems, ranging from large mechanical facilities to individual on-site systems. We also provide design of wastewater conveyance systems, including lift stations and related infrastructure.
Site Development
Site development design and consulting services, including feasibility studies, subdivision planning and permitting, conceptual design, site design, and coordination of local and state permitting.
Construction Services
Construction management and inspection services, including contract administration and oversight, pay application review, regulatory compliance review, on-site construction inspection and certification, and materials testing.
Grant Writing
We provide grant writing services and management through State programs including TSEP and DNRC. We also provide grant assistance for federal programs such as the Rural Development grant and loan program.

Ryan Rittal, PE, LEED AP
Ryan has over 21 years of experience in civil engineering, including water treatment and distribution, site and subdivision development, wastewater treatment and collection, grant writing and administration, and construction administration.
Greg Steckler, PE
Greg has over 16 years of experience in civil engineering, including water treatment and distribution, site development, wastewater collection and treatment, drafting, funding assistance, and construction administration.
Tom Sowden, EI
Tom has over 3 years of experience in civil engineering, including hydraulic modeling, water distribution, subdivision development, wastewater collection and treatment, drafting, and construction management.
Chris Barnes, EI
Chris has over 2 years of experience in civil engineering, including hydraulic modeling, water distribution, subdivision development, wastewater collection and treatment, construction management, and soils and materials testing.
